A truly unforgettable expedition to one of the most remote places on the planet leaving just Everest to complete my 7 Summits project.

 

 

 

 

DECEMBER 2010 – Vinson Massif – 4,892m/16,050ft


My Christmas in 2010 was spent on the most pristine and unspoilt place on the planet.

Despite being consigned to our tents for a week waiting for the weather to clear, on 27/12 we reached the highest point in Antarctica with clear blue skies

 

 

 

 

APRIL – JUNE 2010 – Mt Everest – 8,848m/29,035ft


In May 2010 got to within 120m from the summit of Mt Everest.

I turned around after a chaotic summit attempt in which I assisted 3 of my teammates all suffering badly from extreme altitude sickness. I will return to Everest in 2011
